TiE membership is open to anybody with an interest in entrepreneurship, either in a start-up context or within a larger company. Members may be entrepreneurs, professionals, academics, service providers, investors or executives. TiE membership is for individuals and students and at present we do not have a Corporate member category.

Benefits of TiE Austin Membership
- The primary benefit of membership is free or discounted access to educational and motivational events featuring acclaimed speakers from around the nation. These events are held every 6 to 8 weeks.
- TiE provides an ideal networking forum where members can establish relationships to help them in their entrepreneurial, business or career goals.
- TiE can provide members access to its mentor network for informal advice and help with funding or starting a venture.
- TiE organizes Angel forums where member companies can present in front of a panel of investors.
- Occasionally TiE also organizes skills development seminars/workshops and career development activities.
- All the member privileges can be availed of at other TiE Chapters as well.
- TiE is a not-for-profit organization and does not engage in venture capital investments.
Membership Levels
General Membership - $100/year
A person can become a member by applying and paying the dues, which are $100 for the first year, with an annual renewal fee of $100. The membership year starts from the date of joining.

- Opportunity to network with other entrepreneurs and professionals with similar interests
- Access to our mentor network to get help in entrepreneurial issues such as business planning, fund raising, etc.
Student Membership - $20/year
We also have a particular interest in encouraging students to join TiE-Austin. Students can become members by paying $20 for the first year. The fee is contingent upon the member committing at least 20 hours of time during the membership year to chapter activities.
Charter Membership - $1000/year
Charter membership is by invitation only, subject to a due process prescribed in the bylaws. Charter members are successful entrepreneurs, corporate executives and senior professionals with roots or interest in the Indus region. These individuals are at a stage where they are ready, willing and able to contribute to fellow members. Charter members pay annual dues of $1000 for the calendar year.
Charter members benefit by networking with each other, and derive satisfaction by nurturing budding entrepreneurs. They also get opportunities to participate in start ups in many ways.

- Opportunity to participate in TiE-Austin monthly events as speakers and/or panel members

Volunteers
TiE is a non-profit organization run and managed by volunteers. We are always looking for enthusiastic and committed members who would like to be a part of the TiE team.
